Kings signed Watford F C starlet Shaquai Forde on loan on the eve of this vital relegation clash and the seventeen year old guided them to an exuberant victory as they demolished struggling Wimborne Town. Forde’s first foray into a crowded box was the subject of a suspect tackle that he rode, but the second challenge was a clumsy trip that left referee Daniel Todd with no option but to point to the spot. Jellis converted just inside the left hand post with a mere four minutes on the clock and the rapid wing play of Forde and Joseph Lawal was keeping Wimborne on the back foot, Harry Crawford took a pass on the right side, only to see his attempted cross blocked by the defender.

Undeterred, he seized on the rebound to drill a low ball across the face of goal for Shaqai Forde to slot home from close range to complete a dream first ten minutes of his debut. To their credit, Wimborne gradually slowed down the pace of the relentless attacks and had their first shot on target on the half hour when Lewis Beale pounced on a momentary lapse to deliver a shot that Alfie Marriott was forced to punch to safety. However, a Mark Jamison header just wide from a free kick was the nearest they got to posing a threat as the interval came with the home side still very much in the driving seat.

Kings upped the pace in the second half with chances just wide from both Jellis and Forde, before Chris Cummins introduced Arel Amu for Harry Crawford up front in the seventieth minute and the substitution was to reap immediate reward and ultimately put the result beyond doubt. A lobbed forward pass by Eitel Goueth gave Amu the chance to be one-on-one with the keeper and he confidently slotted the ball into the far corner of the net.

Ten minutes later a powerful Forde shot was blocked by Gerard Benfield and Amu was perfectly positioned to tap in the fourth. In between, Benfield had pulled off a superb save from Shaqai Forde and the latter was still causing problems for the Magpies at the end of an impressive debut.
