Kings Langley were brought back down to earth with a bump after their fine midweek performance saw them take a point at high flying Gosport Borough. Once again, there was little to choose between the sides but it was all settled by a single goal from a set piece, when substitute Rocky Neal stabbed the ball home from a corner on the hour.

There was the usual mixture of good and bad news with Jorell Johnson and Will Hoskins added to the list of Will Hall (concussion precaution) and Harry Crawford (suspension), while Edu returned from injury with a cameo last half hour from the bench.

A first half shaded by Kings saw their interpassing football trouble the visitors, but a lack of cutting edge keep chances to a minimum, namely an Alex Lafleur shot into the side netting, a Roddy Collins lob hit the post with the keeper beaten and an Alfie Williams thunderbolt well saved by James Hamon. Truro meanwhile conjured three good openings, a Riley-Lowe shot just past the post, a Dan Rooney effort well saved by Alfie Marriott and a Tyler Harvey header just over.

The deadlock continued for the first fifteen minutes of the second half, but Truro then upped the pressure and Marriott was forced into a superb double save, resulting in Cheick Diabete hitting the bar. From the resultant corner, substitute Neal forced the ball home from close range through a mass of bodies. For the last twenty minutes, Kings strived for an equaliser with Hamon saving at the feet of Louis Yamfam and Jamie Jellis hitting a post, but the Truro defence remained as resolute as they had been all afternoon, with Hamon outstanding and saw the game out to take the points with them back to Cornwall.
