Kings fell to a disappointing away defeat as they were unable to build on the previous Saturday’s victory at rain lashed Tiverton.

The hosts opened the scoring after five minutes when Kyle Egan squared for Dan Hayfield to net at the far post and although Langley grew into the game, a shot from Roddy Collins on 28 minutes was the first on target.

With defences on top, there was little to trouble the scoreboard for the rest of the half, but Tivvy began the second period as they had the first and four minutes in Austen Booth volleyed home as Kings failed to clear a cross from Hayfield.

However, Langley dragged themselves back into the game when Leo Farruch was fouled, Alfie Williams took the free kick and in the ensuing scramble, a push on Roddy Collins saw the award of a penalty, which Collins duly converted.

As the torrential rain increased, Kings looked far more confident for pegging one back, but Iseguan was causing problems on either wing and it was no surprise when George Warren headed home a Hayfield cross on 73 minutes to restore the buffer.

That a last minute Theo Simpson goal gave the scoreline a somewhat flattering scoreline for Tiverton was harsh on a young Kings side that battled to the end despite being second best on the day.
