Kings Langley 6

Langford 0
Tough times at Kings Langley where recent league results prompted manager Ritchie Hanlon finally giving himself a playing debut. He sat (technical term) in front of the back four and gave a virtuoso performance to inspire a 6-0 win over struggling Langford. The visitors had the first chance with Joe Baker through but firing over, before a Shaun Owens cross was turned in by Luke Ladyman at the far post. Langford came back with a Conor Vincent low cross finding no takers, but on 35 minutes a coming together between Jack Pattison and the visiting player manager Wes Byrne, saw a red mist descend on the home right back and a dismissal for violent conduct. Bizarrely, Kings shrugged aside the set back to score two in three minutes before the interval. Joe Gallagher picked out Shaun Owens to rifle home a fierce shot and a Ritchie Hanlon free kick found Joe Gallagher’s head to beat the advancing Grant Beckwith. Ant Ladyman denied the visitors hopes of exploiting a second half numerical advantage with a point blank save from Matt Kenneford, before an Owens through ball allowed Jimmy Armstrong to beat the exposed Beckwith from an acute angle. Shaun Owens completed a fine display and a hat trick of assists with a cross to give Craig Lynskey a simple header and the latter then combined with Callum Adebiyi to allow Jimmy Armstrong to notch a brace as the ten men completed a rout of a demoralized opposition.
