Luton Town legend Jake joins the Kings

Howells signs on the dotted line for the 21-22 season

Kings Langley have signed former Luton Town, Dagenham & Redbridge and Billericay Town defender Jake Howells.

The 30-year-old, from St Albans, turned out for Hemel Hempstead Town in the two null and void seasons, and arrives at the Orbital Fasteners Stadium with over 500 career appearances under his belt.

Howells, who can also play in midfield, has scored an international goal, having notched in one of his 4 appearances in the England C side, against Estonia in October 2010. However, he was also eligible for Wales, and played for their under-21 side on five occasions after making his debut in August 2011.

Howells played over 330 times for Luton Town across 9 seasons from 2007 to 2016, scoring 31 times. He made his debut aged 17, and was part of the promotion winning side of 2014, scoring 8 times as the side returned to the Football League as conference champions.

He made his 500th career appearance while at Hemel Hempstead last season, and he has also played for Yeovil Town on loan, Eastleigh and Ebbsfleet on loan

The club is delighted to have a player with such calibre on board, and everyone welcomes Jake to the club!
