Reaching the Fourth Qualifying Round for the first time in the club's history, the Kings came within just one victory of a place in the First Round Proper ,where the prospect of facing an EFL side would have become reality. It was a run that captured the imagination of everyone connected with the club and showcased the progress being made at Step 3 football.

The journey began in the First Qualifying Round with a confident 3-1 home victory over Barking. Goals from Charlie Ruff, Ed McKeown and Max Hercules secured passage to the next stage and gave the club a perfect return to their newly renovated home pitch after months away.

Awaiting Kings in the Second Qualifying Round were fellow Southern League Premier Division side Folkestone Invicta. Another impressive display saw Kings emerge victorious, extending their dream and booking a place in the Third Qualifying Round.

Momentum continued to build as Corinthian-Casuals visited in the Third Qualifying Round. Backed by a growing home crowd sensing something special, Kings once again rose to the occasion to progress into the Fourth Qualifying Round, the furthest the club had ever travelled in the world's oldest cup competition.

Standing between Kings Langley and the First Round Proper were National League South side Maidstone United, a full two divisions higher in the football pyramid. Despite a spirited performance, the cup adventure came to an end, but not before the players, staff and supporters had written one of the most memorable chapters in the club's history.

While the dream of reaching the First Round Proper would have to wait, the 2019 campaign proved what Kings Langley were capable of. It brought unforgettable afternoons, attracted wider attention to the club, and remains the benchmark for every FA Cup journey that has followed.

As another FA Cup campaign begins, supporters will once again dare to dream of matching, or even surpassing, that unforgettable autumn of 2019.
