Centre Midfielder Isaac Pedro enters his second season with Kings Langley, and looks forward to continuing his development in a demanding role. Having spent the bulk of his career at fellow Southern League Central team Hertford Town FC, Isaac is familiar with the demands of this competitive division and looks to continue to develop his game.
As a natural centre midfielder, Isaac is a player who is comfortable on the ball and versatile, having filled in at centre back during the beginning of preseason. His ability to carry the ball from defence alongside his excellent passing range makes him a threat to the opposition when in possession. Without the ball, Isaac’s tackle success rate is particularly impressive, retaining possession and using fantastic composure to keep the ball when under pressure.
Prior to signing with Kings, Isaac had played at Hertford Town - a team who he will be facing up against next season. During his time at Hertford, he registered 54 appearances as well as 3 goals.
Having originally started his career at Broxbourne Borough, Isaac has always been a player who works incredibly hard both on and off the ball. In particular, his work off the ball can sometimes go unnoticed as his recoveries have prevented potential goals, which could prove to be a massive difference at the end of the season.
Ahead of this campaign, Isaac approaches this season highly optimistic, saying “I’m excited for the upcoming season, we’ve got a good group of guys in the changing room and I have no doubt that we want to do better as we felt we let ourselves down last season”. As this quote may suggest, Isaac’s winning mentality is another strength of this, and one which is also important for the whole team, who will want to fulfil their potential.
He has also set ambitious aims for the upcoming season, stating “Personally my aims for the season are to dominate games consistently, score more goals and just enjoy my football”. His excellent communication and leadership skills he possesses will definitely benefit the team in working to achieve these goals.
