Darren Eliot on Ronnie Henry Retirement

Darren Eliot on Ronnie Henry Retirement

Dean Wigzell1 Feb - 16:32

Our Chairman reflects on the news that Ronnie Henry is retiring following the broken leg he suffered on Saturday.

Kings Langley Football Club wishes to express its deepest sympathy to Ronnie and his family at this incredibly difficult moment.

It is profoundly heartbreaking to see a career as distinguished as Ronnie’s draw to a close under such circumstances. However, this in no way diminishes the extraordinary contribution he has made to both league and non‑league football over the past two decades. His achievements, professionalism, and commitment to the sport speak volumes about the player and person he is.

Although Ronnie’s time with Kings Langley was short, his influence was immediate. His character, leadership, and presence left a clear mark on everyone at the club. He is a credit to football, and we feel privileged to have had him represent Kings Langley.

We congratulate Ronnie on an outstanding career and extend our full support as he navigates the months ahead. Both the club—and I personally—stand ready to assist in any way possible.

Ronnie and his family will always be welcome at Kings Langley Football Club.

Darren Eliot
Chairman, Kings Langley FC
