Following Jordan Parkes’s departure at the backend of last week, the club are delighted to secure the services of Heath, whose first task will be the home tie with Barton Rovers on Saturday.
Most recently, Heath had a short spell at fellow Southern League Central side Berkhamsted FC, leaving his post there in late December 2023.
Prior to that, he will be familiar to Kings fans for his time in charge at WD4, beginning in the 2005-06 season, where he went on to win 88 games out of 132 ,with the highest winning ratio of any Kings manager in the last 25 years - 66%.
His tenure included a trio of trophies in the form of two Herts Intermediate Cups and a league title that saw them promoted to Step 6 and the SSML Division One. Indeed, a further ascent to the Premier Division was denied only by issues with the ground, as his side finished in second place in their 2008-09 Division One campaign - the final season before Heath would depart to Leverstock Green.
There, he won the West Herts Charity Cup, took the Green to fourth in the Premier Division and into the last 16 of the FA Vase.
He joined AFC Dunstable midway through the 2013/14 season, and would stay with the ODs for 10 years. His time there included winning the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division title and securing promotion to Step 4, alongside winning the Bedfordshire Premier and Senior Cups, and overseeing a historic FA Cup run, where his side reached the third qualifying round.
After stepping down there at the end of the 2022/23 season, he stopped off at Berko for the first half of the 2023/24 season, and is now refreshed and ready to take on a new challenge with Kings Langley.
