No. 17 Saturday 11th October 2014. Spartan South Midlands League – Premier Division
Kings Langley 6 (Weiss 8, Atkins 10,72, Campana 11, L Ladyman 29, Hallissey 90+1)
Holmer Green 0
Holmer Green had an early opportunity to make their mark, when a quick free kick put Andy Shed in, but he shanked his chance and Kings responded by blitzing them with three goals in just four minutes, as first Mitchell Weiss robbed Ryan Forbes, fed Alex Campana on the left wing and was perfectly positioned for his low cross. A crossfield ball by Campana left Daryl Atkins with work still to do, but he turned, beat his marker an fired beyond Henry Craven and then the provider got his name on the scoresheet with an acute shot from the byeline into the roof of the net following a pass from Ollie Cox. A shell shocked Green mustered an Andy Shed shot that hit the bar, but Kings emphasised their superiority when Danny Hutchins crossed from the left for defender Luke Ladyman to put a header just inside the far post. With the result beyond doubt, the second half was damage limitation for the visitors and although Ollie Cox hit the bar after a flowing five man move, Kings had to wait until mid-half before a Campana corner was nodded home by Daryl Atkins. The icing on the cake for Langley was to see Adam Hallissey, eight months after the injury that ended his season, demonstrate speed and subtlety to lob the keeper from a Billy Stevens through ball in time added on to complete the scoring.
